I have always toyed with the idea of becoming an organ donor, but always seemed to put it off until "tomorrow". When suddenly our family came 24 hrs away from losing a very special person who we all loved very much. It was an unbearable, terrifying time in all of our lives and thank God a braver person than I did not put becoming a donor off until "tomorrow" and saved our loved one's life.
I am now proud to be an organ donor, and when I eventually kick the bucket I hope that I can leave a legacy to be proud of for my family, and that is the gift of life.
